The Battle for Sci-Fi Dominance

If you’re a fan of science fiction then Fall 2020 is completely your season. From Star Trek: Discovery to The Expanse, all the major players have new offerings so I want to see week to week where are the joys in a galaxy far far away.

I’ll be covering Star Trek Discovery, The Mandalorian, The Expanse, and any other Sci-Fi properties that get released. Animation is fair game and so are movies so let’s get cosmic!

Week 1: Oct 10 – 17

Welcome back Star Trek Discovery! For what feels like a lifetime away, it’s exciting to see Burnham again even if in a completely new and unfamiliar space that arguably feels more Red Dwarf than Star Trek. While it is a light episode for the start of S3, lots of cool new space ships and these cool blasters with that are arm cannons on drugs. Very exciting. Also the south asian in me was super excited about Aditya Sahil and his wholesomeness.

What I would like from this season. So if S1 was an alternate dimension story and S2 was time travel I would like to see a myhological based story. Past problems haunting even the future. I would like heroes and gods to show up, how cool would Hercules and Vishnu be in the Star Trek universe. Side note I’ve heard rumors with the new place they are in the timeline, there will be more discovery (pun intended) out of this season so I hope it keeps the focus on the main story while exploring the 3100’s.
