Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience: 6 Seasons in 2 hours
On March 4th, 2017 Game of Thrones brought the music from the show to an arena of fans with a large fanfare. Composed by Ramin Djawadi the 2-hour show showcases him as he composed an orchestra from Montreal featuring 4 or 5 of his specialized bands on various different instruments.
Over the duration of the show, we got to listen and see the main theme, various themes for the different houses and multiple pieces of score and soundtrack from various points throughout the show. It was very emotional since they would play through every emotional moment like the Battle of the Blackwater, The Red Wedding, Hardhome and many other moments. My favorite was when they spent about 10 minutes playing through the Battle of the Bastards and just feeling all of the different emotions that come from the music really pulls you into the scene. The spotlight was on the orchestra but also the specialists that Djawadi brought in as they walked across the huge stage and performed their unique instruments along with the orchestra. It was moving to focus on the specific instruments that create the unique tone for the show.
We also got to see the Season 7 promo/production video which was a lot of fun to see on the big screens with the amazing sound. Seeing that as well as what has happened got me really excited to see the new season but hopefully, June or July which is when it is rumored to come out will be here soon.
